Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti

Each year, Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd October to commemorate the birth of Mahatma Gandhi. The day is observed as a bank and public holiday across the nation. He has been offered the title of ‘Father of the Nation’ for his significant contributions to the country.

He played an enormous role in attaining freedom from the British. It is a great opportunity for the countrymen to pay homage to this great leader, who sacrificed his life for the betterment of the country.
