Sant Guru Kabirdas Jayanti

Sant Kabir Jayanti is a yearly event that celebrates the birth anniversary of Kabir Das, who was a renowned poet, saint and social reformer and lived in the 15 century. According to the traditional Hindu calendar, the day falls on the full moon day of the Jyeshta month. 

Sant Kabir Das Jayanti is usually observed either in the month of May or in the month of June every year as per the Gregorian calendar. The day is celebrated by all classes of people not only in India but also in other countries. The great po ems and works of Kabir Das designate the coherence and immensity of the ‘Supreme Being.’ This year it falls on 24th June, 2021

How the celebrations take place?

The followers of Kabirdas across the country celebrates the entire day in his commemoration. Many people like reading the great poems written by him. On the day, seminars will be organized to make his followers understand the importance of his great teachings. 

The city of Varanasi, the birthplace of this great poet, celebrates the day magnificently. At Kabirchaura Mutt, spiritual talks are organized for his devotees.
