What Are the Types of Aadhaar Enrollment Centers?

There are two types of Aadhaar card enrollment centers operating as of now:

Permanent Enrollment Centres: Permanent enrollment centers are set up for a full-time basis to cater to all the needs of the residents to update or enroll their Aadhaar Card. These centers are operated by authorized agencies and are safe to visit and submit the application to enroll yourself for Aadhaar.

Temporary Enrollment Centres: Temporary enrollment centers are operated by non-empanelled agencies. They operate on a contractual basis. The main objective of these centers is to enroll individuals for fresh Aadhaar.

As per new Government circulars and notices, all Aadhaar enrollment centers are to be shifted in either government or bank premises. At present there are around 25,000 Aadhaar enrollment centers across the country. UIDAI has asked all private as well as public sector banks to open Aadhaar enrollment center in at least one out of 10 branches. Currently there are collectively 1,20,000 bank branches in India. With this step, the government is planning to shift 12,000 enrollment centers in bank premises and the rest in other government offices and departments. Earlier, Aadhaar enrollment centers operated from private premises. This will ensure that these centers do not misuse their authority and charge more for the services provided. It will also help the government to carry out operations in secure environment.

Yes, you can apply even with a low CIBIL score, but your chances of approval may be limited. Most banks and lenders prefer a CIBIL score of 750 or above for quick approval and better interest rates. If your score is lower, some lenders may still consider your application based on other factors such as your income, employment stability, or existing relationship with the bank. However, you may be offered a lower loan amount or higher interest rate. Improving your credit score before applying can increase your chances of getting approved on favorable terms.
