PAN stands for Permanent Account Number. It is a 10-digit character alphanumeric number allotted to PAN Cardholder served in the form of Government-issued identification. It helps in the identification of income taxpayer or PAN Cardholder. PAN card required in case of your salary is under taxable slab, taxable professional fees, for opening a bank account or for sale or purchase of assets.
Ways to get PAN card details
You can easily get to know about PAN card details via multiple avenues. To find out PAN details by PAN number, you can use ‘Search PAN NUMBER’. This will help the PAN card holders to find out all the details related to their PAN card. It is very simple to use ‘Search PAN’.
The process to search your PAN Card Details:
Step 1
Log onto the Income Tax Department e-Filing website.
Step 2
Click on “Register Yourself” & amp; amp; Enter your PAN Card number.
Step 3
Fill up the Registration Form and submit it.
Step 4
A link will be sent to your email address. Click on this link to activate your account.
Step 5
Visit https://incometaxindia.gov.in/Pages/tax-services/online-pan-verification.aspx to Enter your account and click on “My Account”.
Step 6
Go to Profile Settings and click on PAN Details.
Step 7
Your details will be generated. You will receive the name, area code, jurisdiction, address and other information.
The steps to follow are:

On the e-Filing website, click on “Know Your PAN”.
Step 2
Enter your Date of Birth or Date of incorporation in DD/MM/YYYY format
Step 3
Enter your surname first, then enter your middle name and first name.
Step 4
Enter the Captcha Code as shown on the screen.
Step 5
Click on submit.

You can get PAN Card details by address by registering your PAN number on the e-filing website of the Income Tax Department.
The steps to follow are:
Step 1
Go to the Income Tax Department e-Filing website (https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/).
Step 2
Click on “Register Yourself”.
Step 3
Select the user type and click on “Continue”.
Step 4
You will need to enter your basic details.
Step 5
Fill up the Registration Form and submit it.
Step 6
A link will be sent to your email address. Click on this link to activate your account.

Visit https://incometaxindia.gov.in/Pages/tax-services/online-pan-verification.aspx to Enter your account and click on “My Account”.
Step 8
Go to Profile Settings and click on PAN Details. Your address and other details will be displayed.

Visit https://www.protean-tinpan.com/
Step 2
Select ‘PAN’ under the ‘Services’ tab.
Step 3
Click on ‘Apply’ under ‘Change/Correction in PAN Data’.
Step 4
Fill in the details and click on ‘Submit’.
Step 5
You will be redirected to a new page where you would be required to submit scanned images through e-Sign.
Step 6
Next, provide all the personal details asked for.
Step 7
Following that, provide the contact and address details.
Step 8
Thereafter, upload accepted proof of age, residence, identity, and PAN.
Step 9
Next, sign the declaration and click on ‘Submit’.
Step 10
Next, make the payment which can be done through demand draft, net banking, or credit or debit card.
Step 11
After successful payment,& nbsp; the acknowledgment must be downloaded, printed, and sent to NSDL e-Gov after affixing two photographs on the space provided and cross-signing it. All documents submitted also need to be attached with the acknowledgment before sending them.
Step 12
Once the request has been made for change/correction in the PAN card, the entire process takes a period of 15 to 20 days. Within the period, the new PAN card is received by the applicant with all the necessary rectifications made.
