As per the directives issued by the Central Government and apex court, Jio connection users need to link their Aadhaar Card with Jio number before the deadline. Individuals need to register their Jio number with UIDAI to be able to link their Aadhaar Card with Jio connection. Those who have not registered or updated their Jio mobile number with UIDAI will have to visit any Jio store for re-verification.

The process to link your Aadhaar to Jio connection is very quick and simple. You can link it through either OTP, IVR or offline mode.

How to Link Aadhaar with Jio Number Using OTP?

Here's how you can link Aadhaar with Jio number using OTP:

Step 1: Call on the Toll-Free number, 14546, from your Jio mobile number that you wish to link to Aadhaar.

Step 2: Choose whether you are an Indian citizen or NRI.

Step 3: Press 1 to give consent to the mobile operator to re-verify your Aadhaar.

Step 4: Now enter your Aadhaar number and confirm it.

Step 5: An OTP will be sent to your mobile number.

Step 6: Give the mobile operator consent to take your name, photo and date of birth from UIDAI.

Step 7. Now IVR will mention the last 4 digits of your mobile number.

Step 8: If the numbers called out are correct, enter the OTP.

Step 9: Press ‘0’ on your mobile phone, in case you do not have multiple Jio mobile numbers that you wish to link to your Aadhaar. Or else, press the option ‘1’ to enable Jio to proceed with the Aadhaar verification procedure.

Step 10: Your request will be accepted.

Step 11: Within 24 hours, you will receive an SMS confirming that your Aadhaar has been linked with your Jio number.

Note: This option is only available if the number is registered with UIDAI already.

How to Link Aadhaar with Jio Using IVR?

Here's how you can link Aadhaar with Jio number using IVR:

Step 1: Call on the Toll-Free number, 14546, from your Jio mobile number that you wish to link to Aadhaar.

Step 2: Choose the preferred language.

Step 3: Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number twice and confirm it.

Step 4: OTP will be sent to your mobile number for verification.

Step 5: Enter the OTP on IVRS when asked.

Step 6: Within 24 hours, you will receive an SMS confirming that your Aadhaar has been linked with your Jio number.

Note: This option is only available if the number is registered with UIDAI already.

How to Link Aadhaar With Jio Number Offline?

Below given are the simple steps which you need to follow to link your Aadhaar with Jio connection offline:

Step 1: Visit your nearest Jio store.

Step 2: Give your Jio number and self-attested copy of your Aadhaar card to the store executive.

Step 3: The store executive will send you an OTP (One Time Password).

Step 4: Give this OTP to the store executive.

Step 5: Provide your biometrics (fingerprint) to the store executive.

Step 6: Jio will send you a confirmation message on your number.

Step 7: Reply with a ‘Y’ to the SMS to complete the linking process.

Jio e-KYC 

Jio subscribers who have not taken connections by Aadhaar e-KYC are now receiving messages from the Jio telecom. The company is sending out them SMS's to complete the Aadhaar e-KYC to avoid disconnection of service. You can visit your nearest Jio Store or Retailer with your Aadhaar Card to complete mandated E-KYC process.

Documents Required for Linking Jio Number with Aadhaar

You need to provide only the self-attested copy of your Aadhaar card for verification. No additional proof is required for address and identity verification.
