Bottom Line

Due to various social factors, most women work until the last stage of pregnancy to remain healthy during the maternity period.  After the delivery, women need proper rest or time for recovery. As if will not give rest to their body, it will affect their ability to breastfeed the baby properly. So, nourishment is essential in the first six months both for the mother and the baby. To address this concern, Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana was launched.
