7 Simple Steps To Recover Your Lost Aadhaar Card

Even though Aadhaar deadline has been deferred by the Supreme Court, the unique identity card is still important to avail subsidies and other benefits under social welfare schemes of the Govt. of India. What will you do when your Aadhaar card gets lost? With a few simple steps, you can retrieve your Aadhaar card.
Step 1:Log on to www.uidai.gov.in and click on “ Retrieve Lost UID/EID” under Aadhaar Online Services.
Step 2: Fill your personal details including your full name, email address/ mobile no. registered with UIDAI and the captcha code.
You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP), either on mail or on your mobile number( whichever you have entered).
Step 3: Once you enter your OTP, you will be redirected to this page. In here, click on “Download Aadhaar”.
Step 4: Select “ Aadhaar” in I have category and fill in the necessary details including your Aadhaar number, full name, pin code, and the captcha code. Click on “Request OTP”.
Enter the OTP received in your mobile number to further proceed.
Step 5: Click on “I Agree” to accept the Terms and Conditions.
Step 6: Now, you will see the pop-up shown below wherein you will have to confirm your mobile number. Click on “Confirm”.
Step 7: The eAadhaar will be automatically downloaded. You will be asked a password to open the file. Your pin code is the password for the file
