EPF Transfer process when you switch job
The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made the whole process of transferring an employee's provident fund (PF) balance completely seamless. This can be done in two ways i.e. online or offline. You can choose any option as per your convenience. Those who wish to transfer their EPF online, they must have activated their UAN and have linked their Aadhaar, bank account details with IFSC code and mobile number with it. Those who are comfortable with the offline process can process their PF transfer through this mode. Given below is the detailed online and offline process for EPF Transfer.
Steps for Online EPF Transfer
Step 1: Firstly, visit the EPFO members' portal by clicking here and log in using your UAN and password.
Step 2: After logging in, go to ‘Online Services’ and click on ‘One Member - One EPF Account (Transfer Request)’.
Step 3: Then, you need to check the personal information and the present PF account details to which the fund will be transferred.
Step 4: After verifying your personal details, you need to click on 'Get Details' to get the account information of the previous employment. Choose the option 'Previous Employer' and enter the previous employment's UAN or member ID to get the details.
Step 5: Once you have verified and submitted the details of your previous employment, click on 'Get OTP', which will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP in and then click on 'Submit'.
Step 6: After submitting the OTP, the EPFO will send this application to your chosen employer for verification. Once the employer approves it, the regional EPF office initiates the transfer process.
Offline EPF Transfer Process
PF Transfer Status Check
If you have applied for online PF transfer, then you can easily track the status of the application. This is not possible in the case of offline application.
Online status can either be checked by logging into the Online Transfer Claim portal or by visiting the ‘EPF Claim status check’ page available on the official EPFO website. If the applicant is not happy with the service and is unsatisfied with the status, he/she can use EPF Grievance Portal to know the exact status of their transfer claim.

Yes, you can apply even with a low CIBIL score, but your chances of approval may be limited. Most banks and lenders prefer a CIBIL score of 750 or above for quick approval and better interest rates. If your score is lower, some lenders may still consider your application based on other factors such as your income, employment stability, or existing relationship with the bank. However, you may be offered a lower loan amount or higher interest rate. Improving your credit score before applying can increase your chances of getting approved on favorable terms.
