Eligibility Criteria for Rural Home Loan

The following are the eligibility criteria you need to meet to apply for rural home loans:

  • The applicant should be of Indian nationality
  • The age of the applicant must be 21 years and above
  • Steady and regular income is required
  • Single individual applicants or joint applicants with other family members such as a parent, spouse, or children who have a steady source of income and good credit score can also apply
  • Agriculturalists, entrepreneurs, self-employed, salaried, and professionals are also eligible

Documents Required for Rural Home Loan

The following documents are required at the time of rural home loan application:

Income proof and Identity proof such as:

  • Valid passport
  • Voter ID
  • Aadhaar card
  • PAN Card
  • Other KYC documents as required by the financial institution

Agriculturalists must submit income proof such as:

  • Last 6 months’ bank statements
  • Copy of title documents of agricultural land as proof of landholding
  • Copies of title documents of agricultural land as proof of crops being cultivated

Salaried applicants must submit income proof such as:

  • PAN card Last 6 months bank statement
  • Last 3 months’ salary slips Latest
  • IT returns
  • Form 16

Self-employed applicants must submit income proof such as

  • PAN Card
  • IT assessment for the last 3 years
  • Profit and loss statement for the business
  • Account  statement for business and self
