How to access UAN account after changing mobile number

All the communication regarding the EPF is sent to the employee’s mobile number that is linked to their respective UAN via SMS. However, at certain times employees change their mobile number and forgot to update the same on the EPFO Member’s Portal. It makes difficult for them to access their UAN account. 

Here, we have mentioned the process of how the employees can update their mobile number on the EPFO portal and access UAN account in a hassle-free way.

Step 1: Firstly, the employees need to visit the official website of the EPFO 


Step 2: In the next step, click on the option ‘For Employees’ under the ‘Our Services’ tab.


Step 3: On the next page, click on the ‘Member UAN/Online Service (OCS/OTCP)’ under the Services menu.


Step 4: After that, members need to enter their UAN, password, and captcha details and then click on ‘Sign In’.


Step 5: After log in to the UAN portal, click on ‘Contact Details’ which can be found under the ‘Manage’ tab.


Step 6: On the next page, click on the ‘Change Mobile No.’ option.


Step 7: In the next step, employees need to enter the new mobile number twice in the respective boxes and click on ‘Get Authorization Pin’

Step 8: An OTP will be sent to the new mobile number. Employees are required to enter the OTP and click on ‘Submit’ button.

Step 9: Once the above step is completed, the new number will be updated on the EPFO portal.

Steps to Update Mobile Number in case if you have forgotten password

In case if you have forgotten your UAN password, then employees need to follow the steps mentioned below-

Step 1: Initially, the employees are required to visit the home page of EPFO


Step 2: On the next page that appears, enter the UAN and captcha details and click on the ‘Submit’ option.
