How to link Aadhaar number to your EPF account via Umang App

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) provides UAN-Aadhaar linking facility for members through the UMANG Mobile App. The Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance or UMANG app is a one-stop application for availing all-important government services including filing income tax returns. 

Following are the steps that you must follow to link your Aadhaar number to EPF Account using UMANG APP:

Step 1: Download the UMANG App from either Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2: After that, enter your registered mobile number if you have already registered.

Step 3: Now, log in with either “MPIN” or “Enter OTP” and click on the “Continue” option.


Step 4: Now, enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 5: To continue using the APP, you need to set an MPIN first.


Step 6: Set the MPIN, and you will be logged in to the UMANG App.

Step 7: Once logged in, go to “All Services Tab” and select “EPFO”.


Step 8: Under the EPFO section, click on the “e-KYC services” option.


Step 9: Under “e-KYC services” select the Aadhaar Seeding option.


Step 10: Now enter your UAN and click on “Get OTP”.


Step 11: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number with EPF Account.

Step 12: After that, enter your Aadhaar details.

Step 13: You will again receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email address.

Step 14: Once the OTP verification is done, your Aadhaar will be linked to your UAN
