Mizoram is one of the seven sister states which means ‘land of the Mizos’. The state is rich in flora and fauna and has a pleasant climate. As such, people from the neighboring states, the rest of the country, as well as international tourists, flock to the state. It is termed a bird watcher’s destination as the state is a stronghold of Hume’s pheasant which is also popularly known as the bar-tailed pheasant.
