The government has come up with solutions by deploying a team who handles all forms of PAN grievances. The aim of coming up with the concept of PAN Grievances is to minimize the complexities or errors that individual faces at the time of applying for PAN Card. There is an electronic portal of the Income Tax Department for lodging all PAN Grievances through Aayakar Sampark Kendra (ASK).
Aayakar Sampark Kendra considered as a dedicated official resource in handling the grievances related to PAN Card.
With the help of this portal, one can easily submit his or her grievances about an application for PAN either on UTIITSL or NSDL. Via this portal, one can also surrender duplicate PAN Card.

A. When name printed on the PAN Card is incorrect: There is a possibility that sometimes individuals do not get the actual name printed on the PAN Card. This mistake can be manual or technical. If an applicant found this kind of mistake, then immediate rectification in the PAN card should be done as this card works as an identity proof in the country.
B. When an applicant does not receive both PAN Card and PAN Number: It happens sometimes that even after applying of PAN Card, he or she neither gets PAN Card nor PAN Number. The reason for not receiving is either delivery of PAN Card made at the wrong address or due to misplacement. In that case, it is the responsibility of the cardholder to report the grievance and get it resolved.
C. Return undelivered: At times, PAN applicant not able to receive PAN Card delivery due missing of delivery date or wrong delivery address. In that case, status of  the PAN card shows undelivered and as a result of which it is returned to the concerned authorities. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of  the applicant to report to the relevant authority.
D.   Photograph mismatched: Sometimes, the photograph printed on the card might mismatched with the actual photograph of an individual. It is counted as one of the most common PAN grievances faced by the PAN applicant.
E. Others: Some other forms of PAN grievances face by the applicant are a mismatch of Father’s name, wrong communication address, date of birth mismatch and many more. These mistakes should also be brought into kind notice by concerned authorities.
Individuals can easily check the status of PAN grievances from the portal of SPARSH under the Income Tax Department of India. After entering the PAN number, complaint number or coupon number from the drop down, status can be checked.
