Duplicate Driving License in India

Holding a valid driving license is important in India. It allows you to legally drive your vehicle on the road. If in case, your driving license has been stolen, lost, or damaged, you can obtain a duplicate driving license by contacting the RTO that issued your license. Online and Offline procedure to procure a duplicate driving license

If you want to apply for a duplicate driver's license in India, you can do so either online or offline.

Online procedure

The online application procedure for obtaining a duplicate Driving License in India is explained in detail below:

Step 1: Visit the home page of the Ministry Transport and Highways of Road (Parivahan web portal).

Step 2: Click on 'Apply Online' on the left side of the home page and then select and click on Services on Driving License.

Step 3: You will be displayed a list of Driving License services page, then click on Continue option.

Step 4: Enter your driving license number and Date of birth and then click on the GO option.

Step 5: Applicant name with few other details will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Select the applicable state and RTO and then click on Proceed.

Step 7: Details of the driving license will be displayed. You need to verify all the details and then click on the proceed button. 

Step 8: The issue of the NOC transaction page will be displayed. Select the required details from drop boxes displayed and click on the confirm option. On the left side of the page, you can see a declaration and the captcha.

Step 9: You need to put a tick mark on the declaration box and provide the captcha then click on the Submit button.

Step 10: After that, an Acknowledgement form will be generated with the Applicant details and the service requested.

Step 11: Click on the Next button to proceed.

Step 12: Select the radio button Upload Documents to upload the required documents and then click on the “Next” button.

Step 13: Click on the “OK” button to continue uploading the documents.

Step 14: Select the address proof from the list of documents, upload, and then click on the “confirm” option.

Step 15: After that select, the age proof from the list of documents and then upload the document and click on confirm.

Step 16: Select the form 1 from the document list for uploading and click on upload and then confirm. Click on the next option.
